Football Sundays have a reputation for having some of the worst bar customers—people start drinking early, the crowds are big, and people are pissy when their team loses.
The "Hail Mary" That Wasn't Caught
The bar was packed for the playoff games, while one particular duo sitting at the bar top was getting especially unruly. At one point, the more animated guy in the group threw his hands up in the air over something he disagreed with, knocking over his pint glass and shattering it on the concrete bar top.
With all eyes turned to the sound of breaking glass, the other bartender approached to clean up the mess as that guy tried to drink from the slivered pint he just spilled.
The bar let out a collective, "WHOA!!!!," and luckily, she grabbed it from him before he could do any damage.
At least then we knew he was drunk enough to kick out.
